WHAT WE DO

The Assyrian National Council of Illinois started as an idea from the Chicago Mayor in 1983 and was later established and funded in 1985. Originally, the Assyrian National Council of Illinois was created to give our Assyrian people residing in Chicago a home that offered them support and comfort. As the years went on, the Home Care program was established and ever since we have been able to create more services and resources for our Assyrian Community.  Services such as Home Care, Urnina Banquet, Assyrian School, and Kiddie Kollege, were funded and established. Our services are not only for our beloved community, but our doors have also been open to our fellow non-Assyrian neighbors.

OUR SERVICES

The ANCI works closely with the Illinois Department on Aging to ensure that our staff has the most up-to-date training and information on programs and implementation protocols. With partnerships like the Coalition of Limited English Speaking Elderly (CLESE), we are able to have direct communication with other agencies where we can share valuable information and help the elderly receive all available care and services.
