The Assyrian school at ANCI is an excellent resource for our community as it aids in preserving the Assyrian language and culture. Funded by The Assyrian National Council and Mrs. Joann Yousif’s guidance as the Principle, the ANCI Assyrian School was established in 2010. Before Mrs. Yousif‘s involvement, the Program only consisted of tutoring. Mrs. Yousif worked tirelessly to write several books and create a curriculum that, in the last 13 years, has taught over a thousand students to read and write in Assyrian. The Assyrian school at ANCI has recently added Assyrian language learning for adults, which currently has nearly 20 adults enrolled in the hope of many more joining in the upcoming school year.
At ANCI Assyrian School, Mrs. Joann Yousif works alongside our well–trained and educated teachers to cultivate a fun and exciting curriculum that will have your children fluently speaking, reading, and writing in Assyrian! The curriculum includes language skills, reading, writing, history, and culture. The ANCI Assyrian School is held on Saturdays from 11:00-3:00 pm. The Program is held during the school year.
